Course Aims
The aim of the Site Safety Supervisor Course is to ensure that all those given supervisory responsibilities understand:
- Why they are carrying out their identified duties.
- What is expected of them and,
- To ensure that they contribute to the safety of the workplace.
Who is this course suitable for?
Site supervisors or persons who have, or are about to, acquire supervisory responsibilities
Course Objectives
This refresher brings your health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving you a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. It builds on the material in the original course.
At the end of the course you will be able to:
- Implement all updated health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation affecting your supervisory role..
- Implement new guidance and industry best practice affected by changes.
- Fulfil your responsibilities regarding health, safety, welfare and the environment.
Course Contents
Including but not limited to:
- Site issues that challenge supervisors on a daily basis
- First aid and emergency procedures
- Behavioural safety
- High-risk activities
- Health and safety laws
- Work equipment
Additional Information
Course fee includes CITB registration, publication and certification fee.
Re-certification for this course is valid for 5 years.
Pre-Requisites
Please advise of any additional needs within a learning environment, such as Dyslexia, amongst candidates in advance of the course.
Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.
Must Bring Photo ID - For British Nationals, one of the following (original hard copy - not electronically): a current and valid branded form of identity token, used for accessing the RMI (Railway Maintained Infrastructure) such as a Sentinel Card; in-date and valid full driving licence; in-date and valid UK Provisional Photo Card Driving Licence; in-date and valid passport, a UK biometric ID Card/Residence Permit (BRP), an Armed Forces Identity Card, a proof of age card recognised under PASS with a unique reference number (this includes the Citizen ID Card), N.I. Electoral Identity Card or a resident permit as per Home Office guidance.
For Non-British Nationals - an in-date and valid passport, Identity Card or Driving Licence from an EU or European Economic Area (EEA) country or a US Passport Card is required (original hard copy - not electronically). Non-British Nationals must also bring with them proof of their right to work in the U.K
