Who is this course suitable for?
Any persons who wish to maintain their certification must successfully complete workplace IWA assessments. Candidates must have been cleared to move on from their probationary status as IWA, and deemed fully competent by a line manager or reasonable authority.
Only persons who have the correct number of log book entries and have suitably completed their mentoring stage will be assessed.
Course Objectives
On successful completion of the course Candidates will have proven that they can work safely alone and understand and follow safe systems of work in accordance with the relevant parts of the Rule Book and the Railway Group Standards. They will also have demonstrated their underpinning knowledge in other areas of their qualification that was not witnessed at the time of assessment.
Additional Information
Workplace assessments can be carried out during day shift or night-shift working. A maximum of 2 candidates can be assessed during one shift.
