Course Summary
This workshop gives existing COSS competence holders a refresher on how to take a line blockage with a TCOD as additional protection.
The workshop will include a PowerPoint presentation to reinforce existing knowledge and understanding on the procedure and how to complete the NR3180 line blockage form when using a TCOD as additional protection.
A practical demonstration will be included on how to apply a TCOD in controlled learning environment.
The workshop will include a Practical assessment which will include completing a NR3180, communicating the arrangements with the signaller, applying a TCOD and the removal of the TCOD and handing back of the line blockage.

Course duration. half day for 8 delegates.
Practical site requirements. A section of track and a compatible TCOD for the type of rail at that location.
Pre-requisites. Valid, full COSS competence
PPE. PPE is required for the practical training area.
Trainer requirements. A fully qualified COSS Trainer.
