Course Aims

This course aims to train delegates to understand the different personal protection provided by use of harnesses. 

Who is this course suitable for?

Candidates who will be working in the construction industry and are required to work off the level.

Course objectives

Candidates will learn: 

  • How to correctly put on your own harness
  • When is suitable for a harness to be used
  • How to identify any issues with a harness
  • How to assess suitability and standard of harness 
  • Health and safety aspects of working with a harness
  • Limits to safe working with a harness

Pre-Requisites

Candidates must be at least 16 years of age. 

If any candidates have any additional needs within a learning environment, such as Dyslexia, which may require a scribe, please let us know ahead of the course.

Candidates should bring/know their national insurance number to the course along with a working ID, or any form of photographic ID. Such as a passport or driver's license. 

Candidates should arrive to the training centre in good time and be fit to work.
